Gatlin Bair Continues To Rewrite Idaho Record Books
Burley (ID) junior Gatlin Bair has arguably been one of the spring season's breakout athletes, and the Idaho star put his historic efforts of full display yet again at the IHSAA Class 4A State Championships.
Bair won both the 100m and 200m events to defend both of his titles from 2022, and he tied his own Idaho 100m state record in the process with a 10.15 (+1.4) mark.
He would then double back later to win the 200m title in 20.56 (+2.0), just off his season best and state record of 20.47 (-0.1) set at the BYU High School Invitational.
Behind that 100m run, Bair now ranks fourth in the country for the event and still sits at US No. 3 for the 200m this outdoor season.
And what's perhaps even more impressive is that Bair doesn't even consider track his main sport. He's a 4-star wide receiver recruit currently fielding offers from Boise State, Michigan, Nebraska, Oregon and TCU.
