Phenom freshman Quincy Wilson of the Bullis School (MD) shocked Franklin Field on Thursday during the 4x400m prelim with one of the fastest splits in history.

There was a battle between the Bulldogs and Jamacia's Calabar as the teams went toe-to-toe over the first three legs which were comprised of Julian Roberson, Alexander Lambert and Ethan Long. After the 49.26, 50.24 and 49.57 splits from Bullis School, Wilson had some work to do to put the Bulldogs up on top.

Wilson wasted zero time as he grabbed the baton and passed Calabar's Kevin Brooks with less than 200m left to go. As the crowd stood on their feet, Wilson crossed the finish line with a 45.06 split and helped the team finish with a 3:14.12, three seconds ahead of Calabar. Wilson's split ranks amongst the fastest in meet history and it was just off the meet record set by Calabar's Javon Francis a decade ago with 44.80.

The Bullis School's Penn Relays performance moved up to US No. 7 with that performance. In the Championship of America 4x400m final, the squad finished sixth with a 3:19.09.
