Operating out of the Southwest Preparatory Conference last spring -- comprising of small, private Texas schools -- Jackson posted career best times of 10.81w and 22.19 in the 100m and 200m, respectively.
As a sophomore.
While Jackson won't rest on those times, they were surely signs of more to come.
This weekend, expect some growth from Jackson in the 60m and 200m.
A year ago, he unspooled career best times of 7.06 in the 60m (U.S. No. 150) and 22.38 (U.S. No. 99) in the 200m, securing both of those performances at the AAU Indoor National Championships in March. And not only that, but each mark secured Jackson titles in the 15-16 age group categories.
Confidence is a funny thing. It might be just the thing that keeps Jackson's progress going north. He'll get his chance this weekend in College Station.
