Last week, we highlighted the early college commitment of Jenna Hutchins to BYU.
The Science Hill junior, who is taking half of a gap year before enrolling with the Cougars in the fall of 2022, is a high school distance running superstar. She has run some of the best times in the country and has earned top finishes in some of the most competitive races that the high school scene has to offer.
All things considered, it felt entirely appropriate for Hutchins to join the defending cross country national champions.
However, Hutchins is no longer the most recent distance running junior to commit to BYU.
That honor now belongs to California native Riley Chamberlain.
