For high school athletes, the outdoor season ended in the first week of August with two major meets: the AAU Junior Olympic Games in Greensboro, North Carolina and the USATF National Junior Olympic Championships in College Station, Texas.
Below, we look at five girls who performed well at the meets and improved their recruiting stock.

Maxwell is not only a top sprinter, but a talented jumper as well.
At the USATF Junior Olympics, Maxwell won the 200m in 23.82, finished third in the 100m in 11.53 and placed fifth in the long jump with a wind-aided leap of 19-9 in the 17-18 year-old age group.
