Event: Pole Vault
In the girls pole vault, Louisiana-based athletes will take center stage.
Both Emery Prentice of Vandebilt Catholic (LA) and Heather Abadie of St. Michael (LA) are tied for the US No. 1 lead and set lifetime bests at the MAC Vault Academy Winter Invitational on Jan. 23 with clearances of 13-9.
For Prentice, this height also beat her outdoor personal best of 12-0, which she set at the ED White Catholic Relays in 2020. Similar to Prentice, Abadie outperformed her outdoor personal best of 13-4 from the Louisiana Pole Vault Compound Meet.
Both of these athletes will once again face head-to-head to push each other to new heights.
