Threats To Win: Liam Murphy (NJ), Devin Hart (NJ), Ryan Oosting (MA), Shea Weilbaker (NY), Corey Gorgas (MI), Matthew Meinke (WI)

Analysis: This race is going to be a battle.

Massachusetts' Oosting is coming in as the top returner from last year's competition when he ran 9:01.87 to finish second. This year he's already run a 9:04.84, which is the top true 2-mile time in the nation right now.

When you convert 3200m times, Oosting is topped by New Jersey's Liam Murphy, who holds a converted 2-mile time of 8:57.32--which he ran to win the NJSIAA Meet of Champions. Sitting just behind him is fellow New Jersey athlete Devin Hart, who was right on Murphy's tail at the state meet running a converted 8:57.55. The two of them are the only athletes with converted or true 2-mile sub-9-minute
times this season.

Also in the mix could be New York's Shea Weilbaker, Michigan's Corey Gorgas and Wisconsin's Matthew Meinke, all who have run times that rank inside the US top 10 this year.
