Rockdale County, GA sophomore Candace Hill has started the 2015 outdoor track season the same way she ended her 2014 - at the top of the national leaderboards. The New Balance Nationals Outdoor defending champion for 100 and 200 meters lowered her own US #1 in the 200m to 23.49 and won the 100m in 11.62 at the Taco Bell Classic (SC).
Hill flew to 11.62 victory in the 100m Finals, ahead of Sydnei Murphy (Apex, NC), who finished runner-up in 11.94. Hill owns the nation-leading, wind-legal mark of 11.30.
Hill lowered her own US #1 in the 200m to 23.49 in the prelims.
The sophomore came back on Saturday to clock 23.5 in the 200m Finals.
