Thanks to their performances in Charlotte and Kenosha, a dozen Foot Locker Finalists from the South and Midwest are competing with the nation's best for the second time in eight days.

A first-meet clearance of 6 feet, 10 inches on March 31 made the Wheeling Park standout even more excited about the rest of the year.

 

Now with the state meet in Charleston just two weeks away, the Southern Cal signee is still waiting for the rest of the year.

A US=#6 clearance in the boys high jump highlighted a group of West Virginia winners in the South Hills Classic near Pittsburgh.
In his first track meet since last summer, Errin Baynes of Wheeling Park brushed off the rust and any questions about his recovery from a basketball injury with a resounding victory over the floppers. The Southern Cal-bound standout had a massive clearance of 6 feet, 10 inches, before missing thrice at 7 feet.
