When I got the call about going to the World Relays in the Bahamas, I was excited and somewhat nervous about competing on the next stage. I got the call weeks before the actual meet and due to the busy competition schedule I have this year, I found it hard making a decision on whether or not I should compete.

My first time seeing World Relays, it looked like a really interesting and fun atmosphere to be in. I was mostly interested in the 4x4 because one of the athletes I enjoyed watching indoors (Torrin Laurence) would be competing on the 4x4 . Torrin would at the Armory to run the Invite 300 and I would always pay attention to how he executed and ran his races. Unfortunately, Torrin passed because of a tragic accident and to this day, I still remember him.

For weeks and weeks, I thought about the Relays and whether or not I should attend. It wasn't until after Penn Relays that I made up my mind to go. I left New York on April 30th and would later meet up with the rest of the team at the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas.
