Meet Information

PCSAA Championships: Thursday, October 23 @ Kenilworth Park

  • Course Open to Walk & Packet Pick Up - 1:30 PM 
  • Middle School Coach's Meeting - 2:10 PM
  • Middle School 3K - 2:45 PM
  • Middle School 4K - 3:20 PM
  • High School Coach's Meeting - 3:30 PM
  • Middle School Awards - Approximately 4:00 PM
  • High School 5K - 4:40 PM
  • High School Awards - Approximately 5:20 PM
The 4k race is limited to 8 entries per gender and is considered the middle school "varsity race". PCSAA team championships will be awarded for the 4k race. 
The 3K race has unlimited entries and is a chance for all additional middle school runners to get to compete.
The high school 5K race has unlimited entries to give all athletes a chance to compete. Only the top 7 runners will be counted for scoring towards team championships. 
Awards:
  • Medals for top 12 boys & top 12 girls individual 3K finishers
  • Medals for top 12 boys & top 12 girls individual 4K finishers
  • Championship and Runner-Up Boys and Girls 4K Middle School team trophies
  • Medals for top 12 boys & top 12 girls individual 5K finishers
  • Championship and Runner-Up Boys and Girls High School team trophies

Meet Location/Course Maps: 

Course maps will be provided at the coaches meeting and sent via email in advance of the meet. 

Facilities/Parking:The address for buses is 1500 Deane Ave. NE, DC. Buses should drop off at the first lot on Deane Ave. NE then continue to the far end of Deane Ave. to park. Spectators should park in the designated lots off of Deane Ave. only. No parking in the adjacent neighborhoods. 

We will have port-a-johns on site for the meets but please note there is no large restroom facility for changing so runners need to come dressed for the race.

Timing/Course Marshals: M&D Timing will be doing the timing for the meet. There will be course marshals monitoring the meet. M&D will be using race bibs for number identification and timing. 

Coaches Meeting: The coaches meeting will be held promptly at the times listed. At this time coaches will receive their team packets with numbers. We will also give any last minute details regarding the course.

Sportsmanship: Please remind your runners of sportsmanlike behavior. Cross Country is not a contact sport and runners should not be pushing one another. They also should not be blocking other runners from passing or using foul or inappropriate language. 

Registration/Payment: Meet Registration will take place on Mile Split. Payment should have already been received by the PCSAA for the season. Payment questions should be directed to pcsaadc@gmail.com.

Reminder all competing athletes must have competed in a previous meet and have a valid entry time.
