Isaiah Givens on Desert Dream, July 4 Mile Jul 01, 2020

WATCH THE INDEPENDENCE DAY SHOWDOWN SUB-4 ATTEMPT ON JULY 4TH- - - Isaiah Givens, who just completed his sophomore year at Pasadena High, joined Jeffrey Parenti on the MileSplitCA podcast. Givens is scheduled to take the line on Saturday for the Independence Showdown mile run in Oregon with, among others, Matt Strangio and John Lester. In mid-June, Givens got his first competition since late February, running the mile and 3200 on consecutive days at the Desert Dream meet outside of Phoenix. There, Givens ran a 4:16.52 PR for the mile (4:15.03 conversion to 1600m, also a PR), and a 9:16.03 PR for 3200m.
