The Fleet Feet Biggest Mover Award, is a weekly award that goes to an athlete who, in the minds of our team at MileSplit, we believe made the most strides in their respective Brooks XC Region. Whether that means they made big leaps up the leaderboards, or shattered a course record, we recognize that this athlete has established themselves as a contender at their upcoming championship race.
Ibrahim Ford earns the honor this week after his Section 5 win in New York. Ford kept his undefeated season alive with a 15:10 5K performance this weekend.

Entering this weekend, Ford was ranked 64th in the Brooks XC Northeast Rankings. With his showing Ford jumped to 29th, thus entering All-Region territory.
The Top 30 athletes at Brooks XC Region Championships will receive All-Region Honors, while the top ten individuals will book their ticket to compete at the Brooks XC National Championships in San Diego on December 13.
Ford has been on a tear in 2025. He opened the season with a win at the John Izzo Cross Country Classic in 15:21, before winning the McQuaid Invitational a week later on September 27th. He covered that three mile course in 15:07 to win the A-2 division.
He went dormant for most of October but re-emerged at the Section 5 Championship, where he won the Division D boys race by over 30-seconds.
He could be a fringe top-ten contender at this year's Brooks XC Northeast Championships.
