In the final weekend of March competition, history was made as Marist's (Ga.) Tommy Latham and Santiago Corona's (Calif.) Rylee Blade notched statement-making PBs.
Before the outdoor season is all said and done, fully expect to hear a lot more about these two record-breakers.

Over the weekend, the future North Carolina Tar Heel lived most distance runners' dream, running a sub-four mile on his home track.
At the Marist Mile, Latham led six boys under 4:10 en route to the first-ever sub-four performance by a Georgia high schooler. Latham came through 800m in 2:01.59, but turned on the jets over the final two laps, negative-splitting a 1:58.21, just fast enough for history.
Latham's official time was 3:59.79, the 21st-fastest time in outdoor history, and the first sub-four high school performance in March.
Latham is now the 27th high schooler to break 4:00, and the 22nd to do so in the last ten years.

Just a few weeks removed from running the second-fastest 5000m in high school history, the Florida State-bound senior took her talents to Orange County for what turned out to be a quick 3200m at The TEN High School Invitational.
After the gun went off, it didn't take long for the veteran to find herself alone at the front, establishing a five-second lead by the time she came through the first 1600m.
For the next four laps, Blade worked her way up to a 26-second gap on the runner-up, with nearly 200m of track separating her from the rest of the field. Blade clocked 10:00.56 in the solo effort, enough to lower her PB by six seconds.
With plenty of time left in the season, Blade sits No.15 in California's record books and would enter the top 10 with a sub-9:57 performance.
