While states continue to wrap up their respective in-state seasons, even more athletes are hitting their stride and throwing down impressive times.

While we've seen quite a bit of athletes show vast improvement in the 5k, hundreds of boys have lowered their times over three miles.

San Leandro's (Calif.) Randolph St. James and Jmel Tesfai stand alone as the top two improvers so far this season in the 3-Mile.

St. James has gone as fast as 16:20.81 this fall, taking off nearly 14 minutes off of his 2023 mark of 30:17.

Tesfai hasn't shaved as much time off as St. James, but his jump from 23:58.89 to 15:28.95 was still an 8:29.94 improvement, the second-best in the country this season.

Mercer Island's (Wash.) Owen Powell and Crater's (Ore.) Josiah Tostenson both posted the two fastest times this season in their 1-2 finish at the 43rd Annual Woodbridge Classic.
