After a few weeks of racing here and there, the high school cross-country season is fully underway. There are already 19 boys who have ran faster than 15:00, and nine of them are Texans.

However, it's a Nebraskan senior, Juan Gonzalez, who has the top time in the country this season. The Fremont (NE) star opened up his season in 14:34.48 at the Augustana Twilight XC Meet.
Southlake-Carroll (TX) junior Caden Leonard and El Paso-Eastwood (TX) senior Aidan Danny Torres round out the top three spots so far this season, with the pair posting season bests of 14:37.1 and 14:40.6, respectively.
