Not even a month into the season there are already four high school girls that have broken 17:00 already.

Defending Foot Locker Nationals champion Elizabeth Leachman is the fastest of the quartet, as the Boerne Champion (TX) junior won the Westlake Invitational in 16:32.5.
Jessica Jazwinski and Helen Sachs, a pair of seniors from Shelby (MI) and Holland West Ottawa (MI) ran 16:52 and 16:53, while Topeka-Seaman (KS) junior Ryin Miller snuck under the barrier in 16:59.46.
