During his first three years at Cheltenham (PA) High School, Jordan Sowell emerged as one the better sprinters and triple jumpers in Pennsylvania.
Still, he was a relative unknown on a national level.
That changed this past indoor season when Sowell scored a jump for the ages and became one of the best triple jumpers in high school history, attracting attention from college recruiters.
Recently, Sowell decided where he will be competing next year. He signed a scholarship with Clemson University, joining one of the top programs in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Sowell also took official visits to the University of Tennessee and Ohio State University
