It was just another accolade in a long list of them for Cheltenham's (PA) Jordan Sowellas he secured last week's National Performer of the Week presented by Firefly.

Winners of our indoor NPOTW program will receive a Firefly Recovery starter kit from our presenting sponsor. For athletes interested in Firefly Recovery, you can also use promo code MILESPLIT to receive 15-percent off any Firefly Recovery Starter kit purchase.

Sowell was already the top triple jumper in the country, but he picked up his third win of the season on Feb. 17, out-jumping the field at the TFCAofGP Meet of Champions with a mark of 48-9.75.

While that effort was a few feet off of his season best, he remains one of just three athletes to clear 49-0, and the only one to to jump 51-0 or farther. Sowell collected over a thousand votes, picking up 49.56-percent of the votes was one of just two athletes over 10-percent.

As a few states got their postseason off to a start, there were upsets and tons of great performances over the weekend. Here's a fresh slate of top notch nominees.

Just like last week, voting will close on Friday at 12:00 p.m.

With that being said, have fun voting!

Ade Lloyd, Harriton (PA): Coming into the season, Lloyd was the 12th-fastest returner and hadn't yet broken 50.3. Flash forward to today, and Lloyd is a PTFCA state champion and has lowered his PR to 47.41, which is the No. 5 time in the nation. Just a junior, Lloyd will be tearing up the 400m for a while.

Keegan Smith, Knoxville Catholic (TN): At his third Tennessee State Indoor Championships, Smith picked up two more state titles, this time winning gold in the two mile (9:09.62) and 800m (1:52.63). Smith's indoor season continues to be a great one and he has he's tallied four PBs over the last three weeks.

Drew Griffith, Butler (PA): Through a stressful week, Griffith proved he was ready to race, winning a state mile title in 4:02.19, successfully defending his 2023 win.

Malachi James, Burlington City (NJ): In his 11th 55m dash of the season, James won big at the NJSIAA state title, clocking a new PB of 6.3.After an unfortunate race in the 2023 final, James righted the ship and got back on top. After missing his junior outdoor season, James is back with a vengeance.

Hayden Smith, Allegheny-Clarion Valley (PA): He cleared 6-11 to win a PTFCA indoor title on Sunday. His indoor title will pair nicely with both of his outdoor titles, as he'll look to make it four total in a few months.
