Nita Koom-Dadzie of Humble Kingwood scored a handful of the nation's top performances last year.

She clocked a best of 11.29w and 23.60 in the 100m and 200m at the UIL Regional meet.

Unfortunately, she suffered an injury that didn't allow her to compete for the rest of the season.

It looks like she is good to go now, however, and she's set personal bests this indoor season of 7.40 and 23.73 in the 60m and 200m, respetively.

Next week, she will be in the hunt for the 100m and 200m titles.

The University of Texas recruit enters the competition with the fastest seed time in the 100m and the third-fastest in the 200m.

This meet will be a stepping stone for the senior as she will be a heavy favorite to win her first set of UIL Outdoor Track and Field Championship titles.
