In November, the Texas A&M women's cross country team qualified for the NCAA Championships for the first time since 2000. Those were the only two times the Aggies have competed in the national meet.
The way the Aggies are recruiting, though, it looks like the program could become a regular entrant at NCAAs.
For the Class of 2024, TAMU has put together one of the nation's best women's distance recruiting classes. The Aggies have signed three of the top seniors from Texas, all of whom competed at the Nike Cross Nationals: San Juanita Leal from Edinburg North, Madison Peters from Pearland and Staucie Lees from Conroe Grand Oaks.
The Aggies have also received a commitment from Debora Cherono from Kenya, who has run 4:17 in the 1,500m and 19:54 on a 6K cross country course.
