The 2024 season is off to a strong start in the pole vault.

There are currently about 660 boys and 520 girls who have improved from last year in this event.

Spokane Speed Academy's Kyle Worthy is currently showcasing nearly a four-foot improvement. After clearing 10-6 last winter, he set a new lifetime best of 14-5.25. He is one of 22 boys who has cleared the bar more than three feet in this season thus far.

On the girls side, Kate Harnish of Penn Manor has shown the most improvement season-over-season.

Last year she cleared 8-0 and to kick off 2024 she has bumped up that PR to 11-6. Carla Angueira, Katelyn Wolfert and Charlotte Prunkl all improved by three feet.

Who are other jumpers who raised the bar this season?
