The races have been run, the titles won. The 2025 Outdoor Track Season rewrote the Record Books, with numerous National Records going down seemingly every weekend. We saw the future of the sport at every level, with Age Group World Records from Middle School on up. Ten underclassmen made it onto our final list, meaning the sport has room to grow in strides.
The final rankings were determined on a mixed basis, comprising both National performances and All-Time Rankings. More recent performances were favored, as that is when the Championship Season happens, and we deem that to be of the utmost importance.

Who's #1
The final rankings came down to Tate Taylor and Cooper Lutkenhaus. Both are underclassmen from Texas.
As only a sophomore, he was dominant in the 800m unlike any other male athlete, only rivaling that of our Girls MileSplit50 US-1. He went US-5 All-Time in the event Indoors, winning our honors there, and then continued to improve over the Outdoor Season. He ran away from a stellar field in Oregon to break a record that was nearly 30 years old.
Any other year, Cooper would have been the clear favorite. There is still a good argument to be had in 20225.

But how can you argue against Tate Taylor, who ran the 100m in a time that would have won every Olympics prior to 1986. He would have made the Olympic Final in every year. When you have two stellar athletes breaking records like this pair, you have to give the edge to the performance that would rank better at the next level. Not only did Tate have the better mark in their best event, but Tate also had the 200m to fall back on, as he is an All-Time great there too. Plus, his ability to take on the field in Oregon, in less than ideal sprinting conditions, and come out victorious in the deepest 100m field in High School history, has to be given its due.
