As we near the end of January and inch closer to the national championship season, it's as good a time as any to take a look at the nation's best improvers in the long jump.

On the boys side, Westford Academy (MA) junior Ryan Kyle has seen the biggest improvement so far. As a freshman, his best mark was 15 feet, 7 inches. But he has already improved his personal best to 21-9.

For the girls, its Sophia Hines of Sanford H. Calhoun (NY) with the biggest improvement.

Hines has leapt to a personal best of 17-11.75, which adds over four and a half feet to her 2023 mark. Take a look at the hundreds of other high schoolers that have already improved on their 2023 bests.
