Adaejah Hodge, 200m Record-Holder, Signs With Georgia

Last March, Adaejah Hodge of Montverde Academy (FL) did the unthinkable, clocking an unprecedented performance at the 200 meter distance indoors.

Her time of 22.33 at New Balance Nationals Indoor would have been good enough for third at the NCAA Indoor Championships that year. It was the 18th-fastest effort in the world.

She was just a junior, too.

Just a day after her teammate Michelle Smith made it official with Georgia, Hodge followed suit and went live on MileSplit's Instagram account on Thanksgiving day to break the news.

On the women's side, Georgia has now signed four top 50 athletes on MileSplit's list of the top recruits in the Class of 2024: No. 2 Hodge, No. 3 Smith, No. 8 Rylee Hampton, No. 32 Alisa Gordon, No. 40 Skylynn Townsend, and honorable mention picks Sole Frederick and Sanaa Frederick.

Hodge signed with Georgia over LSU, South Carolina, Texas and Stanford.

She enters her senior year with personal bests of 11.11 in the 100m and 22.60 in the 200m. She also has indoor bests of 7.24 in the 60m and 22.33.

Hodge competed at the World Championships in Budapest this summer for the British Virgin Islands, where she made it to the semi-finals in the 200m and clocked a time of 22.95.

At the national level, Hodge was also a double New Balance Nationals champion, as she won the indoor and outdoor 200m.
