Top 100 Boys and Girls Currently in NXR Southwest Rankings

As for the girls, the Southwest is not shy of team powerhouses. Several ladies are leading the region with nationally ranked times.

The top ranked runner to watch is Niwot Sophomore, Addison Ritzenhein from Colorado.

With a top 20 finish at the 2022 Nike Cross Nationals and a state title in the 3,200m her freshman year, the leading Cougar continues to show up. At the Desert Twilight Invitational in late September, she clocked 16:44.90, ushering her team to a perfect score.

Ritzenhein currently leads her state in the 5k and holds the sixth fastest time in the nation.

NC State commit, Bethany Michalak, ranks close behind with a best of 16:48.90 from her push at the Air Academy Kadet Invitational two weeks ago.
