The boys from the Class of 2023 were arguably the best distance group in high school history.
Five boys broke four minutes in the mile, while eight broke 8:45 in the 2-mile. On 5K cross country courses, eight boys ran faster than 14:30 last year and a total of 73 ran under 15 minutes.
Still, it usually takes time for even the best boys to adjust to college.
