A week after netting a meet win at the Knights Cross XC Invitational, Monticello High School senior Bazil Mathes walked away with National Performer of the Week honors.

The Virginia-based high schooler earned 46-percent of the vote, flying past the competition on his way to his first honor.

A big congrats goes out to Mathes on the recognition, and to all the nominees for Week 3.

This week, we're moving to a wild week of cross country, which saw both boys No. 1 times go down, with performances coming from Alabama and California.

Check out the top performers from the week in the poll below.

Here are the nominations for the National Boys Performer Of The Week:

Joshua Ruiz, Belen Jesuit (FL): The Wolverine's top dog hammered down on the John Hunt Park course to take the Southern Showcase title in a U.S. No. 1 time of 14:38.79 for 5K.

Will Conway, Floyd Central (IN): Conway made a move in the final 1K to move past the field at the Trinity/Valkyrie Invitational as he secured the victory in a new career 5K best of 14:41.25.

Evan Noonan, Dana Hills (CA): Third-fastest all-time at Woodbridge. Noonan holds that honor after he blitzed through the three mile course in a winning time of 13:41.30.

Ty Steorts, Hurricane (WV): The West Virginia man clocked a new career best of 14:38.80, earning a win at the adidas XC Challenge. The effort was third-best for high schoolers on the WakeMed course.

Dylon Nalley, Marion (IN): The Illinois leader went after the Detweiller course record on Saturday, but he will have to live with attempting it on another day after his performance of 14:00.20. That top time in Illinois earned him a win at Richard Spring.
