No. 8: Herriman (UT)

Analysis: Herriman is already FLYING this season, with an array of notable performances. We can't skip over those results. 

Recently -- actually, as recently as this weekend -- the Herriman boys went toe-to-toe with American Fork and tied the Utah program. 

We had Herriman entered at No. 8 to begin the season, mostly due to four seniors graduating out of its top seven. But considering Herriman finished third at NXN, earning a podium finish, and also won NXR Southwest, we knew this team would remain in content. 

So far, they've proved us right. Herriman opened with a victory at the Premier Invitational, then at the UIAAA Invite and most recently a tie with American Fork at the Timpanogos Invite. Any questions about additions into the lineup have been answered.

Biggest Question: All that being said, nothing is guaranteed in in the Class 6A division in Utah, or another national championship berth.

Herriman finished fourth at the Utah state championships last year before putting on that amazing run toward nationals. In the Southwest, teams all across Colorado and Arizona have improved. 

We do believe this team is capable of a similar path in 2023, but the road to get there will be filled with adversity. Riverton, Lone Peak and American Fork all stand in Herriman's way. All three outlets beat them at the state championships in 2022. While Herriman is among the contenders, they will have to prove themselves yet again.
