Ezra Frech, the rising U.S. Paralympic star and single-leg amputee from California, had the performance of a lifetime on Friday at the Paralympic Track and Field World Championships in Paris, clearing 1.95m in the T63 category to set a new World record in the event.

Frech, a recent graduate of Brentwood High School in Los Angeles, California, raised the World record by five centimeters, clearing 10 meters higher than he had ever done before.

Frech passed the World record twice, in fact, first doing so at 1.91m, which prompted his biggest reaction and featured chest thumping and a yelp from the pit.

That mark surpassed the former record by one centimeter.

But the make came with his greatest challenge, as he needed three attempts to pass the bar.

Then it didn't end there.

Frech moved on to 1.95m, registering over the bar on his second attempt.

A bit of shock exalted over Frech, who extended his arms and let out a cry.

"He is literally flying," the commentator on the NBC broadcast said. "Why stop there?"

No doubt, the performance was one for the books. Frech entered the competition at 1.80m and then proceeded to pass 1.80m, 1.83m and 1.86m on his first tries.

He cleared 1.91m on his third, 1.95m on his second and then made three attempts at 2.0m.
