Now that we're just over a month into the outdoor season, we've already seen a number of athletes show tremendous progression in the field.
In the girls long jump, a handful have notably improved upon their 2022 personal bests by multiple feet.
Begin with Emily Psarras out of Mission Viejo (CA), who currently leads the nation as the top improver in the event in 2023. She's already marked 19-7.75 this season, which is an impressive 2-5.75 improvement on her 17-2 event PR from last year.
Six other athletes have improved by at least two feet in the long jump, and another 74 girls have added at least a foot to their bests from last outdoor season.
