J.J. Clark has long known all about Stanford's reputation as one of the nation's best distance programs.
That's one of the main reasons he accepted the job as the Cardinal's director of track and field and cross country in July 2019.
Still, Clark thought Stanford could appeal to a broader collection of athletes, too, so he and his staff made it a priority to recruit the top sprinters, throwers and jumpers in the high school ranks.
They've been successful in their pursuit.
Stanford has put together arguably the top girls recruiting class in the country for the second consecutive year.
