The upcoming and rising star from Nolensville (TN) made a statement last weekend at the MSCCA Voyles Classic.

As a sophomore, Claire Stegall won her first 5K of the season with a personal best of 17:08.18. Not only did she win this event by nearly 29 seconds, but she also shattered her previous best last season by a minute on the same course. Stegall's performance equaled a 146 speed rating. 

During the week, Stegall earned 65-percent of the votes to be named this week's National Girls Performer Of The Week. 

Let's move on to week 3 of the cross country season National Girls Performer of the Week poll.  

We will recognize a winner every week in this poll, with nominations handed out on Monday. The poll will end on Friday and winners will be announced the following Monday.

Here are the nominations for the third National Girls Performer Of The Week Poll:

Helen Sachs, Holland West Ottawa (MI): In her third race of the season, the sophomore won the 5K at the MSU Spartan Invitational in 17:15.76 to earn a 151 speed rating for her efforts. This was the fastest performance in her career. 

Sadie Engelhardt, Ventura (CA): At the Woodbridge Classic, the sophomore clocked a three-mile personal best and a meet record of 15:42.6 on the flat and fast Great Park Course. This equaled a 151 speed rating for her efforts. 

Grace Schager, Carol Stream (IL): Schager proved her dominance at the Richard Spring Invite with back-to-back weekend wins. This weekend, she clocked a 16:07.60 for three-miles and earned a 152 speed rating. 

Avalon Mecham, American Fork (UT): Mecham won the title at the Utah Pre-State XC Meet with a 17:25.5 5K performance. 

Reagan RileyMountain Brook (AL): The senior won the Southern Showcase and earned a 141 speed rating when she clocked a 17:16.44 5K for 5K.

Ciara O'Shea, Madison Central (KY): O'Shea showcased her talent once again at the Trinity/ Valkyrie Invitational where she won the title in 17:16.86.
