As cross country season begins to pick up, we continue to see which athletes will rise to the top of the rankings on a per region basis.

Looking at the Midwest region, the boys field appears quite stacked and fierce.

The senior talent out of Carmel (IN) Kole Mathison leads the way for athletes in the Midwest region with his 14:23.32 5k performance from RunningLane Cross Country Championships last season. But a deep region makes for a great competition as __ other athletes on the region list enter the fall season as top returners in the country, including Andrew Hauser (Rock Bridge, MO) and Kaden Levings (Cheyenne Mountain, CO), who both finished in the top 30 at RunningLane last December.
