2021-22 Notable Finishes: First at the MIAA State Championships in a personal best 14:47.11; First in the 5,000m at Adidas Indoor Track Nationals in 15:18.25. Also recorded a one mile personal best of 4:10.69 at the Trials of Miles during the outdoor season.
Analysis: He's the MIAA cross country state champion from last year and will look to not just repeat as a state title winner, but pursue a top finish at a national championship meet in the postseason. Ross comes in with a 5k personal best of 14:47.11 from that state championship-winning race last November, and that ranks him as a top 30 fastest returner for 2022 season. However, he will likely take the course seeking a little bit of redemption after running 15:38.04 at RunningLane Cross Country Nationals last December.
He also enters the cross country season with seemingly strong fitness having run a personal best of 4:10.60 for one mile during outdoor track. Ross looks prepped to set himself up for a senior cross country season chasing more state titles and finally earning an elusive top finish at a national meet.
