Some years, coaches will go all-in in search of that one final piece who will help them win a conference title, or maybe even a national championship. 

Other times, coaches recruit with the intent of preparing their team for the future. A re-stocking of sorts. Then there are coaches who recruit in the hopes that they'll be able to sustain a certain level of success -- sort of like re-stocking, only the stakes are higher.
