Caryl Smith Gilbert's stamp on the Georgia women's program continues to evolve.

And the reigning NCAA champion coach -- she led the University of Southern California to an outdoor title in 2021 -- hasn't wasted very much time in the trenches.

Last June she grabbed a few recruits just weeks after her hiring, and over the last year under her direction the Bulldogs have capitalized on various opportunities to land superstar recruits regardless of discipline.

Recently, the Bulldogs signed Madison McConico, a current senior at Thomas Dale High School in Virginia.

Not only is McConico an elite jumper, but she's the first jumps-specific recruit in Georgia's Class of 2022 signees. English signee Ella Rush is also known for her jumps prowess, but her success is mainly reserved for the confines of the heptathlon.
