Before this week, the Oklahoma State University women had one of the best distance running recruiting classes in the nation for the Class of 2022.

However, this week they got a jumpstart on next year's recruiting class.

That's because on Tuesday, Oregon native Kate Peters, who is a distance star from Lake Oswego High School, announced her commitment to run for Oklahoma State come the fall of 2023.

Peters' early decision is a massive one, mirroring the same magnitude of importance that we saw from BYU commits Jenna Hutchins (TN) and Riley Chamberlain (CA) during this same time last year.

The Oregon-based track and cross country star has been, without question, one of the top distance talents in the Class of 2023.

Peters has run 4:30 for 1,500 meters, 4:49 in the mile, 9:46 for 3,000 meters and 16:40 at 5,000 meters.
