The top returner in the triple jump can leap to new distances this year.
Ruston's (LA) Brandon Green leads the rankings as being the only jumper who landed over 50 feet from 2021. The University of Oklahoma signee leaped to a 50-4.25 (NWI) at his LHSAA Region 1 meet. He's coming off a strong indoor season and will look to be up there in the rankings once again.
The defending National Junior Olympic, Outdoor Nationals, and GHSA State champion Kayla Pinkard will be the one to look out for this outdoor season. She was undefeated in this event last year and earned her Outdoor National title with a personal best of 42-5.75.
