On the Line: Will Sumner Scheduled To Race 800m In New York

On the latest episode of On The Line, Cory and Olivia discuss Will Sumner's potential in the 800m at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix this weekend.

With two indoor national records already to his name, Sumner could potentially grab his third in New York.

He kicked off the season by breaking the 500m high school national record in 1:01.25 and then cruised to a 1:15.58 at the CYUP Misfits Invitational in the 600m a week later. The Georgia signee was essentially on pace to break the national high school record of 1:47.67 set back in 2018 by Josh Hoey of Bishop Shanahan (OR).

The Woodstock senior already ran a 1:52.38 at the end of December at the USATF Indoor Hoover Alumni Invitational.
