The Ivy League has been a subject of discussion this year when it comes to some stellar boys recruits in the Class of 2022.
However, the University of Pennsylvania women deserve recognition for their own recruiting efforts, too.
This year, the UPenn coaching staff has assembled a surprisingly deep group of young high school track and field talents who are set to join the Philadelphia-based program starting next fall.
The first name we need to mention is Kent Place School's Christiana Nwachuku, a respectable sprints talent from New Jersey. The future Penn athlete ended her 2021 indoor track season ranked at U.S. No. 59 in the 55m dash (7.36) and US No. 67 in the 400m (57.45). That was an impressive display of range that few short sprints and long sprints athletes are able to balance.
