There have been plenty of powerhouse programs that have continued to establish themselves in the upper-tier of the NCAA recruiting circuit, especially in the middle and long distances.

The Notre Dame men, Stanford women, Oregon men, Toledo women and numerous others have all built successful incoming classes this year by focusing their program's recruiting efforts on the distance events, all while landing other high school talents in supporting event areas like the jumps, throws, sprints and hurdles.

Sure enough, the Minnesota women have also built a formidable class of young women who could extend the success that we've seen out of Golden Gophers over the last few years.
