It should come as no surprise that conferences like the SEC and the PAC-12 have landed some of the nation's best young track and field talents from the Class of 2022.

The BIG 10, however, has been fairly quiet in this year's recruiting circuit compared to established Power Five conferences

Saying that, the Michigan men's program looks like it has quietly developed a strong recruiting class, one that is well-rounded and littered with underrated high school standouts.

We can't help but start with Zane Forist first. The Michigan native is one of the top recruits in the entire Class of 2022.

On Dec. 17, he uncorked a new indoor national discus record of 202 feet, 9.5 inches at the second MITS - LAB meets of the season. He followed that with a U.S. No. 1 shot put throw of 66-0.5.
