Often times, when we see certain collegiate programs land recruits we can usually identify a trend.
Some schools like Colorado, Stanford and Oregon will typically aim to land top-tier distance runners. Meanwhile, schools like USC and Texas look to grab elite hurdles talents. Others, such as LSU and Florida, will go after the nation's best sprint prospects.
However, very few programs in the NCAA pursue recruits who specialize in the throwing events to the same degree that those other teams evaluate prospects.
But one of the rare exceptions?
The Purdue Boilermakers.
