Over the past few weeks and months, we have analyzed the coaching move and recruiting successes of Caryl Smith Gilbert. The University of Southern California-turned-Georgia Director of Track and Field has brought her title-winning recruiting methods to Athens. 

As a result, she has landed numerous high-level sprinting superstars.

But that's not the story we're going to dive into here.

Smith Gilbert's departure from the Trojans' program was a massive development which spawned multiple questions. Not only were we curious about how her transition would impact Georgia's recruiting efforts, but we were also curious as to how the current Southern California coaching staff would respond with their own scouting endeavors.

So far, Quincy Watts, the new USC Director of Track and Field, hasn't been deterred.
