When Taylor Ewert graduated from Beavercreek (OH) High School in 2020, she left as one of the most unique athletes in U.S. high school history. 

She was a World Class race walker and champion distance runner. 

In part, it was that distance pedigree that landed her a scholarship at the University of Arkansas and led to her featuring for the Razorbacks in her first season on grass this past fall and winter in cross country. 

But there's also no surprise why she red-shirted her freshman year on the track, either. Her sole focus was on making the U.S. Olympic Team in the racewalk. 

On Saturday, she came up just short in that quest to make the U.S. Team, finishing sixth at the U.S. Olympic Trials in the women's 20k.

Over the next three years, however, as new World Championships arrive, we could see her among the top three in this event, and she could emerge as a favori...
