The freshman started to turn some heads after she won the Idaho State Cross Country Championships over the 5K course in 17:45.34 to claim her first individual title.
Now she will be stepping on the track to go after the 1600m and 3200m state titles. She set two personal bests this season already in both distances in 4:55.05 and 10:42.54 respectively. These times are the fastest marks so far this year in the state of Idaho.
Smith also ran a lifetime best in the 800m this season at the Boise City Championships when she clocked a 2:16.34.
