There were over 700 athletes across the nation who showed improvement in either the high jump or pole vault from a year ago. 

On the girls' side in the high jump, Ariel Pedigo topped the charts this year by tying for US No. 3. She cleared 5-10 and showed a seven-inch improvement since 2020.

The nation's top three boy pole vaulters, Clayton Simms, Garrett Brown and Maddox Hamm, all showed progress from a year ago. Hamm has been having a remarkable year as he bettered in the pole vault by over two feet.
