Sooner or later, 'The Mountain' was going to get one. A big one. The kind of shot put mark that would put him among Texas history.
But to say that 70-feet was expected out of Bryce Foster this weekend would have been a major overstatement, too.
Six feet PRs don't just happen every day, after all.
But as we all know, sometimes you just find it. That magical second. For throwers, it's a culmination of a lot of factors: The spin, your arm placement, the shot put, your release.
Maybe Foster, a four-star offensive lineman for Katy Taylor (TX) High School headed to Texas A&M next fall, was just feeling it at his UIL District 6A 19-20 Area Meet last Thursday.
Or maybe all those factors all came together in one giant swoon.
