At the 2019 SPIRE Ohio Championship Preview Meet, a young Justin Braun was just beginning to make waves. The Ohio freshman posted a time of 49.11 seconds in the 400m finals. But while the time was solid, it was the way in which he ran, taking down a field of upperclassmen, that was equally as impressive.
The Thomas Worthington High School athlete put in a huge surge around the final curve to propel himself down the home stretch, eventually beating Centerville (OH) senior -- and stud decathlete -- Yariel Soto as well as Pickerington Central's (OH) Denzell Feagin.
